PostPulsar Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 28, 2025

Welcome to PostPulsar. Your privacy is fundamental to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights concerning that information.

By using our Services, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to operate and improve our Services.

a. Information You Provide to Us:

  • Account Data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and, if applicable, information from your social login provider (like Google). If you create a password, we store a secure flag (has_password) indicating its existence, but never the password itself.
  • Social Media Connections: To publish on your behalf, we request authorization to connect to your social media accounts (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and apps (Telegram, Discord). We securely store the necessary authentication tokens (access_token, refresh_token, oauth_token_secret), user/page IDs, and usernames/page names required to maintain this connection.
  • User Content: We collect the content you provide directly, such as article URLs, raw text, custom AI prompts, and media files (images and videos) you upload.
  • Payment Information: When you purchase a plan or a pulse pack, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your payment information. We do not receive or store your credit card data. We only store a record of the transaction (like the Stripe Customer ID and purchase history) to manage your account.

b. Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our Services, such as which features you use and the frequency of access.
  • Log and Device Data: We collect information that your browser or device sends us, such as your IP address, device type, operating system, and error logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide the Service: To create your account, generate AI content, publish to your social networks, process payments, and manage your “Pulse” balance.
  • To Communicate With You: To send administrative emails, updates about your account, and respond to your support requests.
  • To Maintain and Improve the Service: To understand how our users interact with PostPulsar, to fix bugs, and to develop new features.
  • For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect your account and our platform from unauthorized access and malicious activity.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only with the following service providers, and only when necessary to operate the platform:

  • Social Media and App Providers: We share your content (text and media) and authentication tokens with the platforms you have connected (e.g., Meta, X, LinkedIn, Telegram, Discord) to perform the publications you request.
  • Artificial Intelligence Providers: We send your article content or text, along with your instructions (prompts), to our AI providers (currently Google Gemini) to generate the content transformations.
  • Payment Processors: We share transaction information with Stripe to process your purchases and manage your plan status.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if we believe it’s necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the safety and rights of any person.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Storage: Your data is stored by Supabase, which uses secure cloud infrastructure. Media files are stored in Supabase Storage.
  • Security: We take security seriously. We use industry best practices like encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Social media credentials are encrypted in the database. We use Supabase’s Row-Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure you can only access your own data.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have control over your personal information and can exercise your rights at any time.

  • Access and Correct: You can review and update your account information at any time on your “Settings” page.
  • Delete Your Account: You can permanently delete your account from the “Settings” page. Deletion will remove your personal information, social connections, and content from our systems, subject to our legal data retention obligations.
  • Manage Connections: You can connect or disconnect your social media accounts at any time on the “Connections” page.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through our website or by email.
