// Frequently Asked Questions

What are "Pulses"?

"Pulses" are the credits you use to perform actions in PostPulsar. There are two types of charges:

  • Generation Pulse: Consumed when you click "Pulsar". It costs 1 pulse for each social network you select to generate content for.
  • Publication Pulse: Consumed for each individual publication to a social network. It costs 1 pulse per post.
How do Plans and Payments work?

We offer a Freemium model with several options to fit your needs:

  • Free Plan: Get started with 70 pulses per month, enough to explore the core features.
  • Paid Plans (Classic & Pro): For more active users, our paid plans offer a larger amount of monthly pulses (210 on Classic, 500 on Pro) and unlock more features, like connecting more social accounts.
  • Pulse Packs: Need a temporary boost? You can buy extra pulse packs at any time. These pulses are added to your account and do not expire.

You can manage your subscription and purchase pulses on the Billing page.

My post failed. Did I lose my Pulse?

No. The publication pulse is only consumed after your post has been successfully published to the social network.

If a publication fails for any reason (e.g., API errors from the social network, invalid content, etc.), your pulse will not be used. You are only charged for successful publications.

For more details, please see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

What is your refund policy?

All purchases of subscription plans and Pulse Packs are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds or credits for partially used periods or unused pulses.

We encourage you to use the Free Plan to evaluate the service before making a purchase. For more details, please see our Terms of Service.

What if article scraping from a URL fails?

Sometimes, a website's structure can prevent our scraper from extracting the article content correctly. If this happens, you have an alternative!

You can switch to the "Pulsar from Text" mode on the dashboard. This will give you a text area where you can directly paste the full content of your article. PostPulsar will then use that text to generate content, bypassing the scraping step entirely.

What are the media/character limits for each social network?

Each social network has its own rules for posts. Here’s a quick guide to what PostPulsar supports for each platform:

Carousel Posts (Multiple Images/Videos)

  • Instagram & Threads: You can post a carousel with up to 10 items.
  • Discord: You can attach up to 10 files.
  • LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, & Telegram: Do not support carousel posts. You can attach one image or one video.

Media File Size Limits

  • Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, Facebook: Images up to 2MB and videos up to 200MB.
  • Telegram: Up to 50MB per file.
  • Discord: Up to 8MB per file.

About the Character Counter

The character counter you see for networks like X (Twitter) and Threads is there to help you. Each social media platform has a maximum length for posts. The counter shows how many characters you have left. If it shows a negative number, your post is too long and you need to shorten it before publishing.

How do I get credentials for Telegram?

To connect to Telegram, you need a Bot Token and a Channel/Chat ID.

  1. Bot Token: Talk to the BotFather on Telegram, create a new bot, and it will provide you with the token.
  2. Channel/Chat ID:
    • Add your bot as an administrator to your channel or group.
    • Send any message to the channel/group.
    • Forward that message to the @userinfobot bot. It will reply with the channel/chat ID.

Copy and paste these two pieces of information into the corresponding fields on the Connections page.

How do I get the Webhook URL for Discord?

To post to a Discord channel, you need a Webhook URL.

  1. In your Discord server, go to Server Settings > Integrations.
  2. Click on "Create Webhook".
  3. Give the webhook a name, choose the channel where it will post, and click "Copy Webhook URL".

Paste this URL into the corresponding field on the Connections page.

I generated content and refreshed the page. Did I lose my work?

No. To prevent losing work, the last content you generated is automatically saved in your browser. If you refresh the page, the content will be reloaded on the dashboard, ready for you to continue editing or to publish.
